Privacy policy
Last updated October 6, 2026. Meln ("we", "us") publishes reviews at meln.ai. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit and what we do with it. The short version: very little, and nothing we sell.
What we collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, timestamp) for security and to keep the site running. Logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build profiles.
Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count page views and understand which guides are useful. Where we do, we configure it to anonymise IP addresses and we do not use it to track individuals across sites. We do not run advertising trackers.
Contact. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you send, including your email address, and we use it only to reply.
Cookies. Meln itself sets no cookies required for browsing. Third-party services we embed (fonts, analytics) may set their own; see their policies.
Affiliate links
When you click a link marked as an affiliate link, you are redirected through our domain to the vendor's site, and the vendor or its affiliate network may set a cookie on their domain to attribute a later purchase to Meln. We do not receive your personal details from vendors; we receive aggregate commission reports. Each vendor's own privacy policy governs what they collect once you arrive.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising. We do not require accounts. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16; some products we review are intended for adults and we say so on the relevant pages.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process server logs and analytics on the basis of legitimate interest (running and securing the site) and contact data on the basis of your request. You have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority. Where the CCPA applies, you have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
Third parties
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log requests under Google's privacy policy. Our hosting and CDN providers process traffic data under their own policies as processors on our behalf.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
